Linda Blair

Linda Linda LindaLinda Blair was five years old when she was the youngest child actor to appear in The Exorcist. She had worked as a model for the previous three years before she acted in the role of the child who was possessed Regan. Linda quickly rose to worldwide fame, was awarded the Golden Globe, and seemed to be destined to win the Academy Award for that role However, after it was revealed that certain parts of the part weren't done by her (the demonic voice was dubbed by Mercedes McCambridge, and eight seconds of a stunt dummy were utilized) that dream broke, and with that disappointment most likely was the beginning of the end that could have been the start of a successful career. The following years saw Linda was able to land lead parts in a variety of motion pictures. The most notable of these were the TV films Born Innocent and Sarah T. - Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic along with Exorcist II - The Heretic. In 1977, she purchased cocaine on peer pressure at age 18 years old, this resulted in her arrest and sentence of three years of probation. Linda was blocked by Hollywood after the much publicized drug bust. Her acting career was soon only limited to B films and TV appearances.
